# Whitechain Commerce

> Whitechain Commerce is a non-custodial USDT checkout. A merchant signs up in the dashboard, registers a payout wallet, and creates checkout sessions from their server with an sk_test_ secret key. Customers pay with the embeddable <WhitechainCheckout /> React widget or the hosted checkout page; the PaymentRouter contract (0xa99a6D97607567f4fe734831910D24f4e9BD0508) moves USDT (0xcedfB56113143d55b2358b8CFbB0dEB5Ad2f55a7, 6 decimals) straight from the customer's wallet to the payout wallet. An indexer confirms each payment onchain and sends HMAC-SHA256 signed payment.succeeded and refund.succeeded webhooks. Full and partial refunds are signed by the merchant's payout wallet; the platform never holds funds. The server SDK has two helpers, createCheckoutSession and verifyWebhook, from @whitechain-commerce/react/server; everything else is plain HTTP under /api/v1.
